MonsterNEWS:
Wake the Muck Up

photo

Is it a boat? A plesiosaur? A giant squid? Wait — yeah, it’s a boat.

The recent sighting of waves in the Lake Worth Lagoon, near West Palm Beach Florida, caused a brief monster stir. All that the video showed was a small wake from (apparently) something moving under the water.

The original news story was followed by word that a local politician wants to try and cash-in on the sighting. Does he really want West Palm Beach to be associated with Muck? And are the reporters who cover this story now muck-rakers? One wonders.

Higher quality video of the phenomena(?) is on YouTube and in this second video.

And Karen Stollznow reports on the recent Google Earth Nessie story. Security guard Jason Cooke’s scouring of Google Earth led him to the coordinates Latitude 57°12'52.13"N, Longitude 4°34'14.16"W where he found a shape he thought looked like a classic Nessie. (The link is to Google Maps, not Google Earth – a downloadable program.)

While it is likely a boat, the image has been compared to many things as Karen will attest.
